由于关系契约理论自身是一个开放和发展的体系，所以在未来的一段时间内，它还将在对自我的不断完善中发挥更大的影响力，直到新的、更有解释力的契约理论出现。但即使到那时，关系契约理论也还是整个契约理论发展历史中辉煌夺目的一个部分。
